and pro-

• a. Operating Systems-

• Both free and pro version will run on any of the
  following operating systems Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger
  or Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, Microsoft Windows 2000
  Professional, Microsoft Windows Vista (any
  Edition, 32-bit or 64-bit), Microsoft Windows XP
  (any Edition, 32-bit or 64-bit) and Microsoft
  Windows 7 (any Edition, 32-bit or 64-bit).
• Note The software is not supported, compatible,
  cannot be installed and run on Microsoft Windows,
  DOS versions which are previous than Microsoft
  Windows Server, XP operating systems or the
  others not specified.

• The hardware requirements for the Avast various
  products are same. It includes Avast's Free
  Antivirus, Pro Antivirus, and Internet Security.
• Pentium 3 Memory 128 MB RAM and 100 MB hard
  drive space are the processor requirements.
• While for Mac Edition Operating system
  requirements are Intel-based Mac, Mac OS X 10.5
  Leopard Memory or Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger 128 MB of
  RAM (preferred is 256MB) Hard Drive 50 MB of
  free hard disk space.

• Before installing any Avast! 5.0 products
  uninstall the earlier editions of the antivirus
  software. While running the updated version, the
  installer will find the previous version and will
  uninstall the same.
