About This Presentation
Title:

Centrifugal Pumps - CRI

Description:

The CRI centrifugal pumps are widely categorized as Centrifugal monoblock pumps – designed to deliver high performance with low temperature rise resulting to increased durability, the monoblock CT/CF series – designed to function in heavy voltage fluctuations and the CRI regenerative pumpsets – feature non-self priming with end suction and radial delivery. – PowerPoint PPT presentation

Centrifugal Pumps
Centrifugal pumps may be "multi-stage", which
means they have more than one impeller and
casing, and the water is passed from one impeller
to another with an increase in pressure occurring
each time. Each impeller/casing combination is
referred to as a "stage". All centrifugal pumps
must have a "wet inlet", that is, there must be
water in both the intake (inlet) pipe and the
casing when the pump is started.

Working of a Centrifugal Pumps
The heart of centrifugal pump is its impeller. It
features a series of curved vanes inside the
shroud plate. The impeller lies immersed in
water. When the impeller rotates, the liquid
rotates along with. The centrifugal force comes
to play and the liquid eventually moves radially
out. The rotational mechanical energy dissipates
into the fluid and at the discharge end, both
kinetic energy and pressure takes a boost. At
suction side, water is displaced while negative
pressure induces at the eye. The low pressure
sucks fresh water into the system and the
operation continues.

SPECIFICATIONS
The Centrifugal pumps have dynamically balanced
rotating parts featuring good suction lift and
operating efficiency. They contain a set of
rotating vanes, commonly known as impeller. The
impellers are enclosed in a housing or casing. It
comprises of two main parts the impeller and
the shaft. These pumps are controlled by a
completely encased fan cooled. A.C. induction
motor designed for continuous performance. Motor
stator is made of low watt loss steel lamination
thats assembled under pressure and locked in the
frame. Dynamically adjusted rotor guarantees
vibration and noise free operation. Shaft of
bigger size made of high quality steel and
precisely ground is utilized for transmitting
appraised Horse Power.
