RULE - 4
  • Number of attempts for Aspirants
  • 6 attempts till 32 years of age(General).
  • 9 attempts till 35 years of age(OBC).
  • unlimited attempts till 37 years of age(sc/st).

  • Aspirants must be citizen of Indian
  • IAS
  • IPS
  • Other services(Secretaries)
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated
  • from specific countries

  • Age Limit and Age Relaxation
  • 32 years of age - General.
  • 35 years of age - OBC.
  • 37 years of age - SC/ST.

RULE - 7
  • Educational Qualification
  •  
  • A candidate must hold a degree of any of the
  • Universities incorporated by an Act of the
  • Central or State Legislature in India or other
  • Educational institutions established by an Act of
  • Parliament.

RULE - 8
  • A candidate who is appointed to the Indian
  • Administrative Service or the Indian Foreign
  • Service on the results of an earlier examination
  • and continues to be a member of that service
  • will not be eligible to compete at this
  • examination.

RULE - 9
  • Candidates must pay the fees prescribed in the
  • Commission's Notice.
  • Rule 10
  • Those serving under Public Enterprises will be
  • required to submit an undertaking that they
  • have informed in writing their Head of
  • Office/Department that they have applied for
  • the Examination.

RULE - 11
  • The decision of the Commission as to the
  • eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for
  • admission to the examination shall be final. The
  • candidates applying for the examination should
  • ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility
  • conditions for admission to the Examination.

RULE - 12
  • No candidate will be admitted to
  • the Preliminary/Main Examination unless
  • he holds a certificate of admission for
  • the Examination.
  • RULE - 13
  • No request for withdrawal of candidature
  • received from a candidate after he has
  • submitted his application will be entertained
  • under any circumstances.
