Turn on your Amazon Kindle   All Kindle device
have the power button along the bottom. Some
models, like the Kindle Keyboard, use a sliding
power button. Others, like the Kindle Fire,
require you to press and hold the button.

• On the Kindle and Kindle fire models, you can
  navigate your kindle device through the
  navigation buttons, also known as the five-way
  controller, because of the four direction buttons
  and the "Enter" button in the middle.

Turn the Whisper net button on. This will allow
you to connect with Amazon and will be how you
purchase and download books. You'll also need it
to signup your Kindle so that you can move items
onto the device.

Register your Kindle device. Go to the Menu
button and, using the 5-way controller, select
Settings. First of Register option under
Settings.

Navigate the to home screen. The home screen is
basically your Kindle bookshelf. It shows all of
your purchases that are synced with your Kindle
account.
