  • People forget things, where their keys are, times
    and places of events and what they have eaten.
    Many people are astounded when the jump on the
    scales and see they have gained weight, and when
    asked they reply I don't know. I thought I'd
    been good. Or some other phrase that shows they
    either can't remember or possibly don't want to
    admit what they've eaten. Your weight gain may be
    due to eating calorie dense foods or perhaps
    eating too much at meal times, it could be the
    second helping or perhaps it's the high fat
    content (calorie dense) of the food you've been
    eating.
  • Unless you track what, when and how much you are
    eating, you will not be able to understand
    quantitatively how your diet relates to weight
    gain and hopefully in the future weight loss.
    Your tracker can relatively simple or a little
    more complex. You should include Some people may
    wish to track the macro-nutrient breakdown of
    foods, protein, carbs and fat. If you are
    striving to have a specific macro-nutrient ratio,
    this will allow you to work it out. Some body
    builders wish to get over half of their calorie
    from carbs while others may target a low

    your body needs, your body will use its fat
    stores to make up the deficit. Many people are
    put off by tracking their food intake, this may
    be laziness or perhaps shame at detailing the
    foods they have consumed. It may not be the most
    thrilling task, however when you begin to notice
    the benefits of food tracking, namely weight loss
    you'll be motivated to continue. People who track
    their calorie intake will generally consume less
    than those who do not. This is a similar
    psychological phenomenon to wearing a pedometer,
    which actually makes you walk more than not
    having one.

    of our foods, our eating habits and perhaps even
    the reasons why we eat when and how we do,
    journaling your food intake is valuable in
    contributing to weight loss. Essentially weight
    loss is a mathematical balance. If the calories
    in is less than the calories out, or used, you
    will lose weight. Weight loss is probably one of
    the subjects on which people have written
    extensively. Thousands of recipes, plans and
    programs have been developed, tested and
    recommended. Some people managed to get rid of
    the stubborn fat by applying them, others did
    not. Some are still trying to find the perfect
    program which will help them get rid of all the
    fat in a very short period of time.

  • Let me tell you something there is no such
    wonder program that will help you lose a lot of
    weight in a short period of time. And if it did
    exist, it would not be safe for your body to
    start such a program. You should know that once
    you start to gain weight, your body starts
    adapting to its new shape, thus the amount of
    skin which will be needed to cover your body will
    be bigger. If you lose too many pounds in a short
    time, your skin will look like you are in a suit
    which is too size larger. This is not what you
    want, right?
  • In order to make sure not only that you lose
    pounds in a healthy and effective way, but also
    that you will look and feel good once you have
    reached the weight you wanted, you will have to
    follow a weight loss plan based on eating healthy
    food, drinking a lot of water and making as many
    physical exercises as you can. I know it may
    sound like a terrible way of losing weight, but
    it is actually much better to get used to such a
    lifestyle than continue to look for pills and
    wonder treatments which will make the fat go away
    in a second.
