4THE TEAM
Director Tom Green Upon moving to Dubai at the
age of 15 golf became my main sporting passion
and I was able to reduce my handicap from 16 to
2 in 4 years and had a successful amateur career
both within the UAE as well as international
events.
After completing my high school education at
Jumeirah College, Dubai I moved back to the UK to
study the Applied Golf Management Studies BSc
(Hons) degree program at the University Of
Birmingham. The degree, which was founded in
2002, has quickly grown in publicity and stature
and is now considered as the leading program of
its kind in the world. Over the three-year course
I gained practical and theoretical experience in
a variety of aspects of the sport and in
particular coaching, business and sport science,
culminating in a 2.1 degree classi?cation with
honors as well as becoming a Fully Quali?ed PGA
Golf Professional. Having worked with Golf DXB
and Emirates Golf Club for the last two years I
am excited for the future as I take full control
of the company. Over the next few years I hope to
give back to the region that has allowed me to
pursue a career within golf and ensure that Golf
DXB becomes the in?uential force behind the
growth of the game in the Middle East.

5THE TEAM
Director Marcus Dunning Starting my gol?ng
career in the North Of England I boast a strong
playing record winning several junior titles and
was also honored with the role of Lancashire
Boys' Captain competing alongside with European
Tour notables Tommy Fleetwood and Matthew
Baldwin. Due to this success on a regional
platform I then went on to become a member of the
England Junior Squad. Approaching 18, I was
awarded with a four-year golf scholarship in
North Carolina, USA gaining invaluable
experience from a playing perspective whilst
receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport
Management. During this period of time I gained
invaluable experience on the demands of life as a
tour professional and competing at the highest
level. Upon graduation I resided in Denver,
Colorado where I developed a large client base at
Heather Ridge Golf Club and became certi?ed with
Golf Club custom ?tting at the number 1 custom
?tting and retail outlet 'Lenny's Golf' in
Colorado. Following which I moved back to my home
county in Lancashire to further broaden my
skills at the Manchester Golf Performance Centre
in England. During this time I graduated from
the PGA programme in Birmingham, England
recieving the most up to date knowledge to share
with existing and future clients. I am very much
looking forward to the near future with GolfDXB
and getting the youngsters of the UAE involved
with this truly amazing lifelong sport and
producing tomorrows champions.

6THE TEAM
PGA Golf Professional Mike Conybeare Growing up
I have always played a wide variety of sports,
competing for my county at football, table
tennis, badminton and golf. After taking up golf
at the age of 14, I soon found a passion for the
game. During my amateur career I won 4 Club
Championships and a British University
Championship (BUCS) before turning professional
at 21. In 2013, I graduated with a 21
classi?cation in Applied Golf Management BSc
(Hons) from the University of Birmingham. This
degree applies an in-depth theoretical approach
to all aspects of golf, resulting in a advanced
understanding of sports science, psychology and
coaching. I have gained experience from 3 of the
UKs most established golf venues. Firstly,
Gleneagles in Scotland, the 2014 Ryder Cup
venue. Followed by Lough Erne Golf Resort in
Northern Ireland where a fellow PGA Professional
and I ran the golf academy previously attached to
Rory McIlroy. My last position before moving to
Dubai was at Woburn Golf Club, the gol?ng home of
Ian Poulter and host of the British Masters
European Tour Event. I am very excited to be a
part of Golf DXB and the opportunity it presents.
Utilising the knowledge I have gained in Junior
tuition from across the UK to aid the development
of Dubai's bright future in the game.

7THE TEAM
PGA Golf Professional Aaron Williams From ?rst
being introduced to the game at the age of 15 my
ambition was to become a golf professional
specialising in coaching and improvement at all
levels. In 2010 I took my ?rst position at
Astley Golf Driving Range working under one of
the most respected and sort after coaches in the
north of England. Here I gained invaluable
experience and knowledge in coaching golfers of
all abilities. During this time I graduated from
the PGA programme at Birmingham university which
provided me with knowledge in various areas
including golf coaching, sports science,
equipment ?tting technology and business
management. I am always looking for new and
innovative ways to improve my knowledge and
coaching techniques to best support all my
clients to improve their game. My coaching
philosophy is simple, I believe that each
individual is different and there is no one swing
that suits everybody, but through solid
fundamentals and simple swing thoughts we can
help any golfer improve and achieve their goals,
whether thats breaking 100 or turning
professional. I am looking forward to working
with the team at Golf DXB and help grow the game
across all of the UAE.

12JUNIOR PROGRAM
International Golf Passport System The
International Golf passport system helps guide
children through their golfing journey with us.
Each term is divided into three cycles with
content relating to putting, short game and long
game. In each cycle there is information relating
to understanding, technique and a challenge to
be completed. In the last week of each cycle
children will go to the short golf course to put
into practice their skills and will receive
guidance of etiquette. Through a combination of
judgments by the coach made during sessions,
scores in tournaments, short golf course and
results from our end of term test a decision will
be made as to which level students should be
placed in next term.

Progression Details on what is required to
progress through from one level to the next can
be found in the passport book. Please be aware
that it is not expected that children will
progress up a level each term, progression in
golf is a gradual and non linear process and it
could take multiple terms to move from one level
to the next. We will ensure that our sessions are
fun, varied and engaging so that children enjoy
the game throughout this process. Cycles Each
term is broken down into three cycles with each
cycle focussing on a different element of the
game. The content of this cycle is as follows
for each ability level.

23GUIDE FOR PARENTS
- As parents of our children we want to ensure that
your whole family has the best experience
possible with Golf DXB. Below are a few - pointers to help you and your child get the most
out of the program. - Encouragement in sessions- it really means a lot
to the children to receive praise for good
performance whilst in sessions so watching the
session is a must! We have a roped off area
around the driving range and short game area for
players and coaches so feel free to sit just
behind this. - Passport Guide Help- the passport guide helps
children to recap their learning and also engage
in practice between sessions. Please encourage
your child to complete the questions in the
passport and also to carry out their homework
tasks during each 4-week cycle. - Feedback- we welcome both positive and negative
feedback as a means to keep improving the service
that we provide. A progress call will also be
