INTRODUCTION
Patiala is a city in southeastern Punjab,in North
India. It is the fourth largest city in the
state. The city is famous or traditional
headgear,footwear,female trousers and liquor. It
is the home of inter-sporting teams in
tournaments.It is connected to cities likes
Ambala, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Delhi, etc by road.
There are ten gates around it- Qila Mubarak,
Lahori Gate, Nabha Gate, Samana Gate, Sirhind
Gate, Sheranwala Gate, Safabadi Gate, sunami
Gate, Top Khana Gate and Ghalori Gate. There are
many tourist attractions in Patiala like- Qila
Mubarak Complex, Sheesh Mahal, Moti Bagh,Mall
Road, Baradari Gardens, Gurudwara Dukhniwaran

during the stay. These place are The Baradari
Gardens Baradari Garden means garden with twelve
entrances. It is situated in the outer part of
Sheranwala Gate. It is full of many different
species of sherb,flowers and trees. It is
constructed near the Baradari Palace.
Maharani club is situated in Baradari garden.
This club is also known as Rajindera gym
khanna club.It was Maharaja Rajindra Singh who
was a pioneer among the Indian princes to take
on the game of cricket in the right earnest.
Dhruv pandav stadium is a famous international
stadium of cricket located in Baradari complex. A
big church is also there in Baradari heritage,
which is decorated on the occasion of Christmas.

Dukhniwaran Sahib This famous Sikh shrine
situated in small village Lehal in Patiala
City.It is known for its sarovar located inside
the shrine.The Sikhs Guru Teg Bahudar stayed
under a banyan tree by the side of a pond. The
site where Guru Tegh Bahadur had sat came to be
known as Dukh Nivaran. Devotees have faith in the
healing qualities of water in the sarovar
attached to the shrine.

The Qila Mubarak Qila Mubarak located at
Patiala is a rare and outstanding example of Sikh
Palace architecture in India. There is a great
collection of different type and sizes of mirrors
in Darbaar hall.No one can neglect the beauty of
the imposing art work, done with glass by giving
different colours, of Androon hall.It is one of
the prominent tourist attractions of Patiala.

• Qila Mubarak has two main parts, which were built
  by two royals.
• Qila Androon the interior portion, built by
  Maharaja Ala Singh. Situated on a mound, it
  ascends as one move into it. It forms the main
  palace where the royal family resided in the
  past. The palace has an architectural style with
  synthesis of the Mughal and Rajasthani rule. The
  complex has 10 courtyards along the north-south
  axis and each courtyard is unique in size and
  character. Each set of rooms in the Qila Androon
  makes a cluster around a courtyard and each bears
  a specific name.

  Darbar Hall on
• the right. The Darbar Hall has now been
  converted into a
• mini museum, which contains rare arms and armors,
  including the
• sword and dagger of Guru Gobind Singh and the
  sword of Nadir
• Shah, called 'Shikar Gah, who invaded India in
  1739.
