16Think of the Categories as a Pie
17Everybody will most likely have strong and weak
interests in all categories.
18People dont usually have just one main interest
category. They will have several, but some will
be stronger than others.
19How will it help me?
- The Strong will accurately assess these six
interest areas. - It will identify your strongest interest areas
and provide you with a code. - It will then place your profile and code to
matching careers and majors!
20Your code will look something like this
21It will then be more specific with how interested
you are in careers in each category!
22Then it will list the top 10 Career Suggestions
for you from all the categories combined!
23It will even tell you about your personal working
and learning style
- Are you a risk taker?
- Do you prefer to work alone?
- Are you a leader?
- Do you learn best by reading, listening, or
doing? - Are you a team player?
- The Strong will tell you all of this!
24Remember!
- This test will help you think about all the
careers that match your interests. - It is a helping tool. It is not meant to force
you to choose a certain career. - You will receive a detailed 10 page score
report!
25Who will help you understand your score report?
- You school counselor of course!
- I will sit down with you and go over the results
privately or together with your parents. -
26We will take the Strong Inventory Friday Morning
- The test works best for Native Speakers
- We will take the test together to make sure that
everyone understands all the technical words - There is no time limit
- There are no right or wrong answers
