  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is
    mandatory in India for the corporations which
    fall under the ambit.
  • This has ensured there is increasing number of
    CSR initiatives being taken up by corporations
    for overall welfare of the society.
  • Today, it has become important to bring about a
    change in the lives of people through its
    operations.

  • There is increased awareness among people about
    the corporations which is making the corporations
    more accountable and responsible towards society.
  • Corporations cannot just be doing check box
    charity anymore, rather they need to engage with
    the society and ensure its wellbeing.

    increased emphasis on results that changes the
    application of monitoring and evaluation in
    India.
  • The initiatives are more based on result based
    management approach wherein processes, activities
    and strategies contribute towards the achievement
    of clearly stated objectives.

    implement their CSR initiatives on the basis of
    result based management framework.

    significant changes can be analysed.

  • A shift towards result based management framework
    will mean that there is less chances of
    misutilization of resources and higher chances of
    positive impact.

    ensure there is higher impact by the private
    players in the social development sector.
  • By this law the government has actually
    acknowledged the role of private organisations in
    filling the gaps in the development sector.
  • Fiinovation believes that unless the corporations
    become more accountable and responsible towards
    the societal norms, there won't be inclusive
    growth.
