• Lactose intolerance is quite a common ailment in
  many people today, affecting a half of the
  worlds population. It is where the body has an
  inability to digest the sugar lactose, which is
  found in most dairy products, causing it to
  ferment inside the body and cause painful
  bloating, diarrhea and cramps. It has often been

• What is Lactose Intolerance?
• Lactose is created by two sugar molecules joined
  together to form a disaccharide our bodies
  cannot digest the lactose as a disaccharide, it
  requires it to be broken down so the sugar can be
  absorbed. Lactase is the enzyme that breaks down
  the lactose (hence the similarities in their
  names) which allows the body to absorb the
  bi-products which are glucose and galactose. If
  lactase is in short supply, it cannot break down
  the lactose effectively which means that it
  remains in the digestive tract, a prime place to
  ferment and expand, creating gases which in turn
  leads to painful bloating and, in some cases,

• Can anyone get it?
• Anyone can become lactose intolerant lactase
  production is at its highest in babies and slowly
