3Characters
- ALISON
- Alison is the typical popular, edgy girl, who
enjoys going out to parties. She has a way with
words and always convinces her friends into doing
things they know they shouldnt. She doesnt
think about her actions and puts others in
danger.
KALEB Kaleb is also in with the group. He loves a
good gossip and enjoys stirring things up between
the girls. Like Scarlett, Kaleb doesnt like
Olivia however, he doesnt hide back with his
thoughts on her.
SCARLETT Scarlett is one of Alisons best
friends, she is just as popular as Alison
however, is confused and jealous of Alis and
Livs close friendship. She is unsure about Liv
and tries to come between the two.
OLIVIA Olivia is an extremely shy girl. She
hardly goes out or socialises with others. She
keeps to her self and her only friend is Alison
who is the opposite of her and always gets into
trouble.
4Plot
- At the start we are introduced with a split
screen of a phone conversation including Ali and
Liv. - Ali is the typical popular, edgy girl, who enjoys
going out to parties, however Liv is a binary
opposite of Ali and is extremely shy, she hardly
socialises and goes out. - Ali has rang Liv to invite her out that night to
attend a party with her, Kaleb and Scarlett. - Naturally Liv says no however like always Ali
manages to persuade her to come. - Ali is the designated driver of the night but
typically gets really drunk by the end of the
night, as well as Kaleb and Scarlett. - Liv gets angry about this and her and Ali end up
arguing, Livs saying that Alis too drunk to
drive. - In the end they end up all getting in the car
anyways and we see that Liv is the only one who
is sensible enough to put her seatbelt on. - Ali and Liv continue to argue in the car and Ali
- takes her eyes of the road.
- There is a screech and the car smashes into a
tree.
5Plot
- In the next scene we see Ali, Kaleb and Scarlett
gathered around Livs bed as she was injured in
the crash. - Ali continuously apologises to Liv admitting it
was her fault and she should have listened to
her. - The two go out for a walk to get some fresh air,
strangely pedestrians passing on the street are
giving Liv strange, dirty looks. - They go back to the house where Kaleb and
Scarlett are waiting. - The four are sat at a table drinking a cup of
tea. Livs mum arrives home and asks Liv who
shes talking to. - Liv tells her mam that she's with her friends.
- This is when there is a 180 turn and the camera
reveals that Liv is sat on her own at the table
and her friends were never there.

8DELUSION
THE ACCIDENT
We thought that this title reflective our short
film due to the fact that the word delusion makes
the audience believe that the storyline is
building up to something that isn't actually what
you expect it to be. It implies that our story
has a twist, without giving away what the twist
actually is. Also delusion is commonly associated
with mental disorder such as the one our main
character is revealed to have.
This title would be a good title for our short
film as it foreshadows that an accident will
occur. It catches the viewers attention to
continue watching the short as they know an
incident will occur and people are bound to be
injured

9Narrative
- Linear structure with flashbacks to show what
actually happens and what Georgia thinks happened - Levi-Strauss. This is the idea of binary
oppositions as a way of understanding the means
of production within narrative. This is where you
pair something with the complete opposite. In
this short film it will be Niamh and Georgia,
they are completely opposite to each other. - Propp is the theory of different types of
characters relevant to narratives. - Niamh as Ali/Britney Bad friend/villain
- Georgia as Olivia (Liv) Good person
- Joe as Kaleb Villains
- Charlotte as Scarlett Villain
10Lighting/Setting/Costume/Target Audience
- Lighting
- High key lighting during the day when Georgia
thinks everything is normal - Low key lighting in the 4 cups of tea scene as
she is finding out something scary. - Stereotypical dark lighting at the party.
- Setting
- Mostly in a house (by the bed, 4 cups of tea
scene) - Brief scene in a street
- Scene in the car
- Costume
- Normal teenage clothes
- Contemplated the idea of when she realises we are
ghosts we are covered in blood and ripped clothes
- Target Audience
- Both genders who are interested in psychological
thrillers - The age range for this short film varies between
teenage to middle aged
11Themes in the film
The main theme in this short film is the concept
of drink driving and the consequences. It
includes the effects of what it has on not only
the driver but the other people involved. For
example, Alison kills her and her two friends,
and the survivor is the one who is affected as
she is shown to be mentally unstable (seeing her
dead friends).
