Introduction
Dengue fever is a flu-like illness that affects
infants, young children and adults. Dengue
hemorrhagic fever is a specific syndrome that
tends to affect children under 10 years of age
which can cause abdominal pain, bleeding and
affect the circulatory system. It is a more
severe form of Dengue infection.

Causes of Dengue
The Dengue mosquito is very dangerous and only a
single bite is enough to infect a human with
Dengue. The mosquito carrying Dengue Virus, bites
and the dengue virus enters the skin with
mosquitos Saliva and enters WBC (white blood
cells). They reproduce at a faster rate and move
throughout the body with blood.

Symptoms of Dengue

• High fever, often high as
• 103- 105 degrees Fahrenheit
• Flat Red Rashes
• Loss of Appetite
• Headache
• Fatigue
• Swollen Lymph Nodes
• Low blood pressure
• The bruises that form easily and on their own
• Pain in Joints, muscles and Bones

Treatment of Dengue Virus

• To reduce the mosquito population, get rid of
  places where mosquitoes can breed.
• When indoors, use air conditioning if available.
• Use mosquito repellents, even indoors.
• If you have symptoms of dengue, speak to your
  doctor.
