Title: BBT seminar Orange county
1Wellness Education that Motivates and Works Get
your employees on the path to wellness A
healthier workforce equals a healthier bottom
line. If you want to increase productivity,
reduce health insurance and Workers Comp costs,
improve morale and decrease absenteeism, Fit For
Evers wellness education programs are the
answer. Our wellness course, ?The Realistic
Approach to Better Health,? is available as a
one-time seminar or an 8-week course BBT
Seminar This fast-paced 30- to 45-minute
seminar will get your employees focused on the
basics of stress and time management, good
nutrition and regular exercise. This can be a
stand-alone motivational wellness class, or, as a
follow-up to the awareness screening program, can
be used as a time to distribute and discuss the
individualized wellness plans.
Wellness Classes Research has shown that it
usually takes 45 to 60 days to form new lifestyle
habits. Our 8-week wellness course capitalizes on
this. These wellness classes, which are held
onsite before, during or after the work day, give
participants the information and motivation they
need to get and stay on the path to wellness.
2The starting point of the wellness course is the
awareness screening. Each participant receives an
individual health and wellness screening during
the first week of the program. Classes are then
held during weeks 2 through 7. At the first
wellness class, participants are given their
individualized wellness plans (created based on
the information learned during the screening)
plus a workbook. During each class the
instructor, Rick Reghetti, provides information
and motivation about specific wellness topics,
and leads discussions regarding the successes and
challenges that participants are experiencing. A
second round of individual health and wellness
screening appointments are held during the 8th
and final week of the course. At these
appointments each participant immediately
receives their test results and has an individual
consultation with Rick about their going-forward
wellness plan. Health Risk Awareness
Screening The Key to a Successful Wellness
Program Start with convenient onsite awareness
screening While most Southern California health
and wellness educators offer a ?one size fits
all? approach to health and wellness, Fit For
Ever understands that to be followed, plans need
to be tailored to each participants individual
health issues, lifestyle and needs. Thats why
the starting point of our full corporate health
and fitness program is detailed onsite awareness
screening called a Health Risk Assessment. Each
onsite Health Risk Awareness Screening
includes Wellness history Individual medical
and injury history family medical
history. Current lifestyle Nutritional habits
exercise habits day-to-day work schedules and
responsibilities from morning to night. Body
composition analysis The state-of-the-art
InBody520 is utilized to measure weight, lean
body mass and body fat mass. Test results
include Body Mass Index (BMI) Overall percentage
of body fat Body Water Balance measurement
Greater intercellular water reflects a stronger
immune system. Segmental Lean Development
information Indicates if an individual is
allowing one side of their body to dominate
during exercise, which can lead to injuries.
3- Biometric Screening
- Cholesterol test
- Blood pressure test Girth measurement
- Grip measurement test
- Then get individualized wellness plans
- This detailed awareness screening gives us a good
picture of each participating employees current
health and wellness status and risks. Based on
this information we then create individualized
wellness plans designed to help each person reach
their wellness goals. Each plan addresses all
aspects of wellness, including - Stress and time management A variety of
techniques are presented individuals are
encouraged to try each one to see what works for
them. - Sleep management A variety of techniques are
presented individuals are encouraged to try each
one to see what works for them. - Exercise program Including customized
recommendations for flexibility, weight
resistance and aerobic exercise. - Nutritional program Each person is given a list
of foods to choose from based on their stated
food preferences and recommended caloric intake
of protein, fats and complex carbohydrates. For
example, an employee who presently prefers a
particular type of ethnic cuisine would be given
options for ?fine-tuning? their choices within
that ethnic cuisine. Our goal is to encourage
people to gradually make healthier food choices
we know that attempts to make drastic changes are
rarely successful.
