Merced River Rafting
Tumbling down from the peaks of Yosemite National
Park, the Merced River is without a doubt one of
the most exhilarating rafting tripsWWE has to
offer. Located a short 3.5 hour drive from the
San Francisco Bay area and just 6 hours from
Southern California,the Merced River is a
brilliant one-day Yosemite white water rafting
adventure.
The main entrance to Yosemite is only 40 minutes
away from our meeting point, making it a must-see
for those adventure seekers rafting the Merced.
Rafting on the Merced is considered to be a
once-in-a-lifetime trip that will allow you to
experience Yosemites waterfalls at their
absolute grandest. Come and spend an exciting day
rafting the Merced with us, followed by a day
viewing the magnificent Yosemite National Park.

North Fork American River Rafting
Available during the early spring, typically
April and May. Starting as a mild stream, the
North Fork of the American River quickly gathers
momentum and enters the class IV Chamberlin
Falls Gorge, the most difficult of all the forks
of the American. Running only in the early spring
with the melting snow from the Sierras, the North
Fork drops through a very steep gorge between
house-sized boulders and over waterfalls that
reach eight feet in height.
Crystal clear water and rapids that seem endless
are the trademark of this technical, challenging
river. This is one of the most beautiful rivers
in the Sierras and should be attempted only by
those with previous rafting experience and who
are in good physical condition. Wet suits are a
must for this trip and are included when you raft
with us. We offer half-day, 1-day, and 2-day
whitewater rafting trips on the North Fork of the
American River.

Kayak Lessons at Whitewaters Kayak School
Want to try something different with yourself,
your family, youth group, or have some kids that
are keen on learning a new skill? Learn to kayak!
Our kayak lessons are just what you have been
looking for. Taught by long-time and experienced
kayakers, the WWE Kayak Instructor crew provide
some of the best kayak training.
Our one and two day sessions teach participants
the basics of whitewater kayaking. We will begin
the kayaking lessons on the flat water of Folsom
Lake and then progress to the Class 1 and
2 moving waters of the South Fork of the
American. Focus of our kayak classes will be on
boat control, currents, learning to roll the
kayak (after capsizing), and reading whitewater
and rapids. A super fun way to spend a day or two.
