such, you should be prepared to show what you do
with them on any particular day or weekend. You
should be able to provide a meaningful account of
experiences you have given the children in order
to help your cause.

Keep proper records Having strong emotions of
love for your child will not hold water. If you
are preparing for a child custody case, keep a
clear record of those things that you do for your
child. You should have a record showing how much
financial, emotional, educational, spiritual and
physical support you have given to the children.
You may also want to keep a journal of instances
you believe your child custody attorney and the
judge will find important. Most judges will want
to hear what you do not necessarily what the
other party does not do. Do your homework
If the children are school going remember that
your involvement in school activities will arise
show how you are involved in parent teacher
activities and a record of communication with the
school.
