• Florida Vocational Institutes mission is to train

• Florida Vocational Institute opened its doors
  February 2007. The owners of Florida Vocational
  Institute possess over a decade of experience
  with adult learners in career training. Florida
  Vocational Institute is licensed by the State of
  Florida Commission for Independent Education
  License Number 3441 (CIE) since October 2006.
  Florida Vocational Institute is approved by the
  Florida Board of Nursing to offer the Nursing
  Assistant/HHA Program License Number/Testing
  Code 1159 (previously 792).
• The purpose of Florida Vocational Institute is to
  offer affordable training and employable skills
  in challenging and rewarding careers. The school
  is the accomplishment of a dream to share many
  years of experience in training and preparing
  individuals to achieve success in a rewarding
  career.
• Florida Vocational Institute offers its students
  a modern, completely air conditioned,
  well-lighted plaza facility providing an
  atmosphere conducive to learning and containing
  teaching aids and audio/visual equipment.

  students, including an elevator to access the
  second floor. The building is located close to

is accredited by Council on Occupational
Education (COE). COE was originally founded in
1971 as a regional accrediting agency of the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, is
the successor to the Commission on Occupational
Education Institutions (COEI). In 1995, the
Council became a national accrediting agency. In
2006, the Council celebrated its 35th year of
assuring quality and integrity in career and
technical education. The Councils accreditation
process is conducted on behalf of more than
360,000 students across the nation who pursue
careers in a variety of technical fields

Medical Assistant
MEDICAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM QA What exactly can I
expect from the Medical Assistant
Program?Florida Vocational Institutes Medical
Assistant program is designed to offer students a
clear understanding of medical career skills,
both clinical and administrative, which will
prepare them for employment in the allied health
field. Visualize training under the guidance of a
physician or practitioner, learning how to take
vital signs, take x-rays, electrocardiograms,
remove stitches, and perform basic lab work like
urinalysis and hematology testing.  You will
learn everything from medical terminology to the
structure and function of the human body, its
chemical processes, and the pathology of
diseases.  You will also learn how to handle the
administrative duties of medical office
management including reception, record
management, insurance billing, and scheduling
appointments.  As a medical assistant, your job
is to assist the physician in many ways, which
usually includes recording patients medical
history, explaining medications, sanitizing
instruments, and restocking medical supplies. 
You are also usually the first one to see the
patient and prep them before they see the doctor.
Our program prepares you to handle all these
tasks with ease.

Patient Care Technician
PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN PROGRAM QA What exactly
can I expect from the Patient Care Technician
Program? Florida Vocational Institutes Patient
Care Technician program is designed to offer
students a clear understanding of technical
medical career skills that focus on patient
care.  Visualize training under the guidance of a
physician or practitioner, learning how to take
vital signs, check blood and glucose levels, and
provide home healthcare needs.  You will learn
everything from how to change patients bandages
and perform EKGs to understanding Alzheimers
disease and restorative care.  As a patient care
technician, you work under the supervision of a
physician or nursing staff and are fully focused
on caring for a patient, monitoring a patients
condition, and reporting any findings.  Your job
will usually include everything from collecting
bodily fluids for testing, phlebotomy, sanitizing
a patients room to feeding your patient and
brushing their teeth.  Our program prepares you
to handle all these aspects of patient care
confidently.

Phlebotomy Technician
PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN PROGRAM QA What exactly
can I expect from the Phlebotomy Technician
Program? Florida Vocational Institutes
Phlebotomy Technician program is designed to
offer students the training and clear
understanding of phlebotomy. Students will learn
how to perform duties such as drawing blood,
storing blood and blood components, venipuncture,
and basic processing. Students will also learn
the pathology of diseases as well as the
circulatory system, infection control, and OSHA
and CLIA guidelines. Our program will properly
prepare you to handle this role proficiently.

Electrocardiography
ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY PROGRAM QA What exactly can
I expect from the Electrocardiography
Program? Florida Vocational Institutes
Electrocardiography program is designed to offer
students the training and clear understanding of
electrocardiography. Students will learn
everything from how to properly operate
equipment, monitor heart functions, recognize
abnormal heartbeat, and record patient progress.
Students will learn how to attach electrodes to
different areas of the body in order to gain an
accurate assessment of the health of a patients
heart.  Our program will properly prepare you in
all suited aspects of electrocardiography.

Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aide
NURSING ASSISTANT/HOME HEALTH AIDE PROGRAM
QA What exactly can I expect from the Nursing
Assistant/ Home Health Aide Program? Florida
Vocational Institutes Nursing Assistant/Home
Health Aide program is designed to offer students
a clear understanding of all aspects of long term
patient care under the supervision of a
Registered Nurse. You will learn everything from
geriatric and rehabilitative care to how to
perform CPR on patients. As a nursing
assistant/home health aide, your job is to
provide patients with bedside care, assist in
activities of daily living, and monitor a
patients overall health. You will practice
patient bathing techniques, grooming, and feeding
your patients as well as cleaning their homes in
order to keep a sanitary, healthy environment.
Our program will properly prepare you to handle
all these tasks effortlessly.
