and food to her for a trip that is under eight
hours. However for dogs, plenty of water and
light meals should be enough.

When you arrive at your new home, a new and
unfamiliar space can be overwhelming to your
pets. You can begin with allowing them to adjust
in the home by giving a space for their shoes,
toys, treats and food bowls. Once they feel
comfortable, gradually introduce them to other
rooms in the house. Also remember to keep all
external doors and windows closed when your pet
is unsupervised. Make sure to update your pets

• Once you find a new veterinarian near your new
  house, ask if there are any local health concerns
  such as Lyme disease or heartworm, or any
  vaccinations that your pet may require.

  reduce your pets stress and anxiety throughout
