- Bob Wade is the Chair of the
firm's Health Care Practice Group. He
concentrates his practice in representing
healthcare clients, including large health
systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers,
physician groups, physicians and other medical
providers. His experience includes representing
clients with respect to the Stark Act,
Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and
Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor
Act.Bob is also nationally recognized in all
aspects of healthcare compliance, including
developing, monitoring and documentation of an
effective compliance program. He currently serves
as the Compliance Expert to the Board of
Commissioners of Halifax Health, advising the
hospital on all aspects of their Corporate
Integrity Agreement. He has experience in
representing healthcare clients with respect to
issues being investigated by the Department of
Justice and the Office of Inspector General. Bob
has experience in negotiating and implementing
Corporate Integrity Agreements.

the risks involved for providers serving an aging
population under the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark
Law, and False Claims Act. The applicable safe
harbors under the Anti-Kickback Statute and
exceptions under the Stark Law will be explained
so that providers can understand how these fraud
and abuse laws apply to their industry. - The presentation will then focus on ways
providers can mitigate these risks, focusing on
operational challenges. Because the presenter
