• Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was Founded
  by our FIVE PHInomeanl Pearls

Zeta is a Sorority of firsts

• It was the first National Pan-Hellenic Council
  organization to unify its operations in a
  national headquarters
• FIRST to charter chapters in Africa
• FIRST to form auxiliary groups, and first to be
  constitutionally bound to a fraternity, Phi Beta
  Sigma Fraternity, Inc.  
• This sorority takes pride in its continued
  participation in transforming communities through
  volunteer services from members and its
  auxiliaries. 
• Zeta Phi Beta has chartered hundreds of chapters
  worldwide and has a membership of 100,000.

• Founded on December 12, 1969 on the Campus of
  Mississippi Valley State College, now Mississippi
  Valley State University.
• Five young ladies comprised the charted chapter,
  including Lou Ann Pickett a performer with the
  New York Opera Company
• Past members include Clara T. Reed, CEO of Mid
  Delta Health Agency, Thelma Collins, past mayor
  of Itta Bena, Mississippi, Henrietta E. Lowe,
  past 2nd Vice president of Zeta Phi Beta
  Sorority, Inc. and wife or our own Dr. O.P. Lowe
  and several other of Valleys Finest, Bobbie
  Wicks, Annie Hicks, Henrine Stewart, Maxine
  Stewart, and Estelle Simms to name a few
