• Mercedes Benz India is all set to start the New
  Year with the launch of their flagship car, the
  all-new S Class W222 S500. Rush Lane brings you
  bit by bit updates from the launch event in

• First shown to the world at the Hamburg Airbus
  A380 delivery centre back in May 2013, the new
  Mercedes Benz S Class comes in a choice of 4
  trims, S400 Hybrid, S500, S350 BlueTEC, and S300
  BlueTEC Hybrid. Of the four, India will get only
  1 option, the V8 powered S500, delivering 455 hp
  at 5250 rpm and 700 Nm torque at 1800-3500 rpm.
• The S500 is available in short wheelbase and long
  wheelbase, India will get only the long
  wheelbase. The length of long wheelbase version
  is at 5246 mm, 130 mm more than the short
  wheelbase version. Wheelbase of the long
  wheelbase version is at 3165 mm, 130 mm more than

Indian Bikes News - Bike Festival of India
launch

• As per the initial schedule, Bike Festival of
  India (BFI) will be held in October 2014.
• After todays launch event, next month Bike
  Festival of India will embark on a cross country
  bike ride here. More importantly, the ride route
  includes every state in India. In fact BFIs
  inaugural ride is expected to last all through
  February 2013. The achievement will be recorded
  in the hope of putting India in the Guinness Book
  of World Records.

• In March 2014, BFI will host a racing
  championship at the Buddh International Circuit
  (BIC). Bike Festival of India will also host a
  Dirt Bike Championship, and a Rally Championship
  later in the year. BFI has come to fruition
  rather quickly with effort from Event Capital,
  and Rhiti Sports.
• The BFI platform will see bikers come together,
  and be part of this first-of-its-kind adventure

Indian Car News - BMW i8 coming to India, at 2014
Delhi Auto Expo

• The high tech, carbon bodied, electric sports car
  from BMWs i brand, i8 will make its India
  debut at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. It will be the
  highlight of BMW Indias hall during the Expo in
  February.
• BMW India showcased the i8 prototype in India
  back in May 2011, as the BMW Vision Efficient
  Dynamics concept car. The production version of
  i8 was launched last year, and it has been a
  success as the first year lot has been already
  booked. Sadly, there are no plans of launching
  the i8 in India.
