Solutions

• It is proven that students who eat breakfast are
  better able to focus on their academics.
• Students who eat breakfast achieve 17.5 higher
  on math and 20 more likely to graduate high
  school. (from No Kid Hungry Center for Best
  Practices)
• Schools need to make free and nutritious meals
  available to all students, no matter what their
  familys income is.
• Make sure students are able to get food during
  months as well. They need to be healthy year
  round. Getting sick in the summer will cause them
  trouble when they go back to school.
• Make sure that when students receiving free or
  reduced meals, this is information is kept
  confidential in order to reduce
  embarrassment/stigma associated with needing
  aid.

What is the problem

• Students come to school hunger-
• Students need nutrition in order to learn and
  grow physically and cognitive.
• Although schools provide breakfast for children,
  many are not able to receive these because late
  bus schedules, conflicting priorities, and stigma
  of eating while other students are socializing.
• SOULTION TO THIS PROBLEM Schools are
  incorporating breakfasts into classroom time to
  eliminate these problems.

• What sort of society would we be if we have the
  means to feed children who are hungry through no
  fault of their own, but refuse to do so?
