1
Daniel Assouline is a High Performance Leader
  • Daniel Assouline Montreal

2
  • Daniel Assouline is a high performance leader. He
    possess certain important characteristics that
the leader of any modern organization must have
to succeed in a highly competitive business
    environment.
  • Capabilities possessed by highly successful
leaders are nothing but an amalgamation of
vision, purpose, intelligence, attitude, and a
    little bit of hard work.
  • The best leaders have proven themselves in all
circumstances and situations. A vision and a
passion to achieve that vision have often led to
    fairytale success stories.
  • In the following section we shall look at some of
the important characteristics and features that
separate a highly successful leader from a
    mediocre one.

3
Great Leaders are Continuous Learners
  • It is said that the first step towards mediocrity
is to think of oneself as wise. Successful
leaders are acutely aware of that. They believe
that learning is a never ending process.
  • Good leaders are active listeners, astute
observers, and voracious readers, and maintain a
high level of engagement with their clients,
employees, and other important stakeholders of
    their organization.
  • This quality of listening to others and a
preference for learning over preaching makes them
acutely aware of themselves, their surroundings,
the marketplace, and the business environment.
  • People who are good listeners and wish to be
continuously on the path of learning are
invariably people who are humble with no ego.
These people make excellent leaders as they
    prefer sensitivity over insensitivity and
    humility over hubris.

4
  • Leaders who think they know everything and feel
their subordinates are not worth listening fall
flat on their face sooner than later. Isolated in
their own Ivory Towers, they are totally unaware
    of whats happening around them.
  • This often proves to be disastrous for the
organization as these people filled with hubris
and self-induced sense of importance find
assistance from no quarters during times of
    uncertainty and calamity.
  • Leaders who portray an image of a person who
knows everything in fact are fooling nobody but
themselves. They are more likely to step into
traps, gaps, and blind spots that great leaders
    so easily manage to avoid.
  • Leaders who chose to delude themselves and live
in the bubble of their own thinking make things
difficult both for themselves and their
organizations. They are too egotistic to seek
valuable input from their subordinates and
    employees.

5
  • This often leads to a delayed or wrong decision
making process. In a highly competitive business
environment, a lot depends upon the decision
making ability of the leader. In such situations
delayed or wrong decision making can allow your
    competitors to maul you.
  • Daniel Assouline is a leader who knows that
allowing your opinions, suggestions, and views to
be challenged is a sign of strength, not
weakness. Letting your employees know that their
opinions matter is an important motivator.
  • Workers will work doubly hard to prove that their
opinions and suggestions were right. This proves
immensely beneficial for the organization and its
customers. Leaders who do not respect the
suggestions of their employees and are never
willing to change their mind do not grow, nor do
    they let their organization grow.

6
High Performance Leaders are Passionate about
their Work
  • Great leaders believe in their cause. This makes
them enthusiastic and passionate about their
work. They seem to emit energy which rubs on to
    their subordinates.
  • People who are not excited about their work or
the journey ahead are least likely to excite
others around them. Great leaders have passion,
positive energy, a sense of urgency, and the
desire to accomplish and achieve what they have
    set their eyes on.
  • Individuals with high energy levels and spring in
their step make excellent leaders. They bring a
sense of thrill and excitement into everything
they do. This energy and spirit keeps the
    motivation level of employees high.
  • Daniel Assouline, the chairman and co-founder of
payment processing company UpClick, has energy
and animation that keep things moving smoothly
for the organization all the time.
  • He has immense belief in his employees and is
thrilled by the journey that his organization is
making through the collective effort of his
    workforce.

7
Great Leaders are Visionary
  • In a highly competitive business environment
leaders who know the market today and more
importantly where it will be tomorrow are likely
to leave their footprints behind on the sands of
    time.
  • Great leaders have the ability to peak into the
future. They know what will be the needs and
expectations of their customers in the time to
come. This makes make them better prepared to
meet future challenges and take advantage of
    opportunities that present themselves.

8
Conclusion
  • Successful leaders are continuous learners. They
are always on the lookout for learning new and
innovative ways and methods of doing things. High
performance leaders are visionaries and really
    enthusiastic about their work.
