My Experience with Skype

• US Foreign Policy Iraq War
• Our class had a virtual discussion with my
  brother, Michael, stationed in Iraq over 6,000
  miles away from Mansfield.
• US Foreign Policy Simulated Crisis
• Michael interrupted my class with a breaking
  news report. He played the role of CNNs
  Anderson Cooper.

Helpful Tips for Using Skype in the Classroom

• Seek assistance. (MUs Instructional Technology
  Services - Tamela Bastion and Todd Seibert were
  especially helpful. )
• Conduct a test run if possible.
• Be flexible.
• Try it again.
• Practice using the technology for personal use
  (grandchildren grow up so fast!).
