Weather

• Weather is what is happening in the air outside
  right now.

A sunny day
A rainy day.

Temperature

• Temperature is how hot or cold the weather is.

Thermometer-It tells how hot or cold it is.

Precipitation

• Precipitation is any type of moisture falling
  from the sky.

Rain-Droplets of water falling from the sky
Snow-Ice crystals falling softly
Sleet or hail-Small or large pieces of ice

Wind Speed

• Wind is the movement of air
• Wind can be a soft breeze or hurricane force
  winds of 75 miles or more

• Wind can blow from any direction
• Winds blowing from the south bring warm weather
• Winds blowing from the north bring cold weather

• Wind direction is measured by a wind vane or a
  wind sock.
