Artist Statement

• My passion is to grow at every opportunity and
  art provides the tool that carries me around the
  world. It has become my lifeline to success.  It
  provides me the opportunity to create as I
  experience day to day living. My philosophy is
  to give back to the world what I have freely been
  given.
• I get to sing with emotion, taste with color and
  dance with love.
• Art allows me to soar with the best of all
  existence.

Vitae Biography

• Darrells ability to envision the likeness of
  various people of the world for artistic
  inspiration comes naturally.
• Although Anderson was domestically trained at the
  Art Students League of Denver and the University
  of Colorado, he lived and traveled in Europe as
  a child.
• He was also later stationed in Thailand, serving
  all over the Orient as a Race Relations
  instructor during the Vietnam War.
• The artist then began a career as Frontier
  Airlines first male flight attendant for 12
  years, further intensifying his keen observation
  skills.
• He expresses his art through several mediums,
  namely oil paintings and drawings.
• More recently, Anderson has extended his artistic
  reach to the realm of mosaics.
• He has completed many public art commissioned and
  community projects awarded him.
• Integral to his life philosophy is the importance
  of education. As such, Darrell has even created
  a new curriculum for schools abroad and taught
  multiple creative workshops in several different
  countries.

• Currently serving as an advisory board member of
  the Mile High Stadium Districts Public Art
  Advisory Committee (2006)
• Conducted creative workshops in the Interactive
  Learning Center in the first U.S./Chinese
  Educational Conference in Beijing, China (1997)
• Created a new curriculum called, Creative
  Expressions, for the Educational Management
  Group used in public high schools across
  Australia (1996)
• Invited to teach art workshops on the Navajo
  Reservation with the Discover III through the
  University of Arizona (1995)
• Invited as an ambassador of Denver at Brest 92
  a maritime celebration in Brest/Brittany,
  Denvers sister-city, encouraging artistic and
  cultural exchange (1992)
