Objectives
  • Stimulate entrepreneurship and enthusiasm in
    young people (16-19 y.)

3. Method
  • Encounters between pupils 16-19 y. and
    enthusiastic entrepreneurs / witnesses at the
    work place
  • DREAM Day national event in March
  • Teacher prepares the visit at school with
    pedagogical material in 3 phases

4. Results
  • 27.000 participating pupils in 5 years 9.300
    pupils in 2003
  • 95 of teachers and 92 of pupils are very
    satisfied
  • Professional pedagogical material
  • DREAM is considered as the main national action
    for professional orientation by UWE (Wallonian
    Union of Enterprises)

  • DREAM executed a national survey in 2002 with
    1.011 pupils from 5th, 6th and 7th years of
    secundary school
  •  Young people and their professional future
    between dream and realism

  • Pupils want concrete actions meetings with
    professionals in the firm, outside school
  • main values autonomy, contacts, responsibility
  • 53 want to be an entrepreneur or a manager
  • Propositions to entrepreneurs/managers
  • Talk about your profession to youngsters
  • Make contacts possible in your firm
  • Stimulate permanent education
  • Be a coach rather than a leader
