• Aid the development and harmonisation of the
  radiography profession- to increase the
  professional recognition and status of
  radiographers
• Make a significant contribution to the success of
  the Tuning III project

  public awareness and the development of education
  and training programmes

• Build on the work undertaken by HENRE

  mapping and description of all areas of current
  radiography practice and specialist radiography

  support the development and dissemination of

HENRE II Subgroups

• 4 sub groups
• 3 will respond to the recommendations of the year
  3 HENRE subgroups and continue to develop
• 1 is a new sub group looking at the interface
  between science and society and the role of
  radiographers in radiation protection

Sub Group 1- TUNING

• Building on the work of HENRE Subgroup 1(and if
  appropriate the other subgroups)
• Developing a summary of the radiography
  profession, including descriptions of degree
  profiles, learning outcomes, competencies, level
  descriptors, workload and ECTS based on current
  Tuning methodologies

Sub Group 2- Research Teaching

• Building on the work of HENRE Subgroup 2 (and if
  appropriate the other subgroups)
• Increasing knowledge and support for research
  within the profession and developing a synergy
  between research teaching
• Linking with other TNs and EU supported
  programmes

• Building on the work of HENRE Subgroup 3 (and if
  appropriate the other subgroups)
• The development of modules, courses and life long
  learning practices within the profession

• Brand new sub group

• 3 year project
• No longer having to bid for monies each year
• Ability to plan ahead
• Need for committed involvement and activity
• Need for greater communication between meetings
