Connecticut Multiple Listing Service,
Inc. Business Plan CTMLS developed a detailed
business plan in early 2006 that has been revised
several times in response to member
concerns. Today, CTMLS is the product of business
plan 2, the combination of the Co-op and Eastern
Connecticut MLSs. http//www.ctstatewidemls.com

Startup Ongoing Operations
  • Ownership - Convert to a not-for-profit non-stock
    corporation with CAR ownership, Participant
    control.
  • Governance 5 Participants each from Large,
    Medium Small Firms, one non-voting AE, one
    agent. 15 firm representatives and agent elected
    by Participants.

  • 5 member Management Council composed of AEs
    and/or MLS Executives that
  • represent all areas of the state.
  • Data conversion, entering into Service Center
    Agreements
  • Current lockbox systems are not affected.

Participation fees
  • There is a one-time 200 application fee for
    Participants (Designated REALTORS).
  • No application fee for Subscribers (agents).
  • MLS monthly fee - 26.00 (plus tax).
  • User fee bills will be mailed semi-annually for
    the periods of May-October and November-April.
  • Unlicensed office staff are not charged

Member processing
  • Service Centers sign up Subscribers and give them
    MLS access on the spot.
  • For the semi-annual billing, Subscribers will
    have the ability to pay invoices by credit card
    via the Internet.
  • Credit card processing fees will be paid by CTMLS.

    creation of CTMLS and are acting as Service
    Centers
  • Eastern Connecticut Association of REALTORS
  • Greater Bridgeport Board of REALTORS

  • Greater New Haven Association of REALTORS
  • Greater New Milford Board of REALTORS
  • Greater Waterbury Board of REALTORS
  • Litchfield County Board of REALTORS
  • Mid-Fairfield County Association of REALTORS

    and accurate listing data, CTMLS also offers

  • Tax data autofill on new listings
  • MLXchange Wireless. Access the MLS through your
    PDA or cell phone
  • Local Service Center support
  • Answerlink Technical Support. M-F 830 a.m. -
    800 p.m. and Sat-Sun 830 a.m. - 300 p.m.
