Think Packaging..?

Environmentally FriendlyPackaging Should Be-

• Adequate to protect the goods and materials
  supplied, whilst avoiding over packaging
• Crates, pallets and, if feasible, boxes and
  cartons should be reused
• Cushioning and other forms of packaging which are
  not reusable should be recycled

• This Case Study describes how the University of
  Glasgow has saved nearly 500,000 in the ten
  years since beginning a long-term water
  minimisation campaign.
• Cumulative water/effluent savings of over 329,700
  m3 have been achieved through right sizing meters
  to reduce fixed charges and reducing water use by
  domestic applications, science departments and
  building services.

• 110 boxes of leaflets / brochures / paper
• Various stationery items such as staples, elastic
  bands, etc

These items were then all disposed of correctly
they probably would have been landfilled otherwise
