terms, the mean, median, mode, and range of your
data. Task 3 You will present your findings
through an oral presentation to the
class. Explaining the math correlations. Brief
biography of Artists. Distribute a hard copy of
the completed DJ itinerary worksheet JUST FOR

Page 3 Task 1 Process You are the DJ.
(hardcopy printout) Your task is to create 1
hour of music for the Math Dance. On the
spreadsheet provided on the next page, list the
song titles, artists, year recorded, genres, and
time of each song. Each song must have a
correlation to mathematics, either in the title
or the artist. (Check out my examples) No song
may be over 7 minutes long. You may not use
more than 2 songs from each artist. You must
keep a running time of the songs.

OK, now I have to get MEAN!
(and median, mode, and range)
Now that the music for the dance is complete,
find the mean, mode, median, and range for the
years. Do the same steps for the times.
Example
Dr.Ufigure
Don't know what these blue words mean? No

directions? OK, Lets start with the years of
your songs. Did you have any from the 60s? What,
No Beatles? Thats ok. Use the space provided
to list the years. Remember 1st to last. The
Median of the years is_________________. The
Mode of the years is_______________. The Mean of
the years is _______________. The Range of the
years are __________________. Lets do the same
for the times. List the times short to long. Do
you have to change them to seconds? The
Median of the time is_________________. The Mode
of the time is_______________. The Mean of the
time is _______________. The Range of the time
are __________________.

Jenny, Jenny by Tommy Tutone) Hey! Circle,
circle, who can I turn to? I need to find the
distance around you. I never found the length of
a curve before. ?Till I saw your number on the
board. Circle, I got your number I need to
multiply. By your diameter 3.14159 3.14159 Circle
, circle, you're the shape for me. To find your
area would make me so happy. I tried the method
before but I got nowhere. This time I multiplied
your number by the radius squared. Circle, I got
your number I need to multiply. By the square of
your radius 3.14159 3.14159 I got it, I got
it. I will remember ?till I die. I got it, I got
it. In the formulas, you just multiply by
pi! Circle, I got your number But there's always
more to find. Your digits go on
forever. 3.14159265358979323846264? Circle,
Circle, who can I turn to? For the answers I need
I can always turn to pi. 3.14159 3.14159
