• Residential Market Share Decreasing
• The natural gas share of new single-family homes
  fell to 54.1 in 2007 compared to 55.7 in 2006. 
  This continues the decline started in the early
  2000s when the market share was around 64.
• Decline trend will not be helped by high natural
  gas prices.

  Guidelines (GBG)
• Is an excellent tool for builders
• Is an attractive feature for home buyers
• GBG repackaged for natural gas homes as the AGA
  NGNG.

AGA NGNG Program Summary

• NAHB Research Center developed the checklist
  program for AGA
• Checklist is aimed at specifying natural gas
  equipment and appliances.
• Requires compliance with the energy provisions of
  the 2006 International Residential Code or
  better
• Requires third-party plan review to verify design
  and compliance
