  • Advantages
  • Emphasizes continuity and career growth. Is easy
    to follow.
  • Disadvantages
  • Fails to group abilities/skills. Points out any
    gaps in employment. Points out any lack of work
    experience.

Functional
  • Advantages-highlights strong points and
    accomplishments. Is flexible . Eliminates
    repetition of duties. Is useful for changing
    careers.
  • Disadvantage-Is often viewed as a way to hide
    gaps of lack of experience. Is more difficult to
    prepare.

More Resume donts
  • Dont attach documents such as diplomas,

    full-time, permanent employees in 2008, down from
    40 percent who planned to do so in 2007 Just
    8 percent plan to decrease full-time staff levels
    in 2008, while 47 percent expect no change
