ATTENTION GRADE FIVE TEACHERS
Your school board has approved the content of
this 40 minute interactive classroom
presentation. Designed to increase knowledge
about seizures and decrease stigma, this
presentation meets 4 of the specific expectations
of the Grade 5 Ontario Health Science
Curriculum. The facilitator uses props, EEGs, the
Brain Game, Famous People Game, video clips and
puppets to reinforce specific expectations.
Grade 5 Science Human Organ System Expectations
1) Describe the basic structure and function of
the major organs in the nervous system. 2)
Describe ways in which the skeletal, muscular,
and nervous systems work together to produce
movement. 3) Describe some types of medical
technology.
