Title: All About
1All About
Ms. Crawford
2Things I Like
I have a lot of interests and hobbies. I really
like sports as well as crafts and projects. My
favorite sports to play are soccer, wakeboarding,
skiing (both water and snow), and Ultimate
Frisbee. I also really like to watch hockey GO
SHARKS!!!
3Things I Don't Like
I am a happy person most of the time, but there
are some things I just cant stand. Traffic is
one of those things. Sitting behind a bunch of
cars when you just want to be home is dreadful.
And then to make matters worse the guy in the car
next to you decides to speed up and cut you off,
as if those 12 inches were enough room for his
Chevy Pick-up. There are other things I dont
really like condiments, sauerkraut, onions,
spinach, just to name a few. I dont like the
wind, I detest vomit, and when I see a bunch of
pigeons I wish I could send them far, far away.
4My Childhood
I was born on August 25, 1976 in Hayward,
California. When I left the hospital the nurses
looked at my dad and said I didnt have a chance.
Well, they were wrong. I have had more chances
than I can count. I grew up with my mom, dad,
and brother Zac. Zac is 4 years younger than I
am. We got along great when he would do what I
wanted to do, but when he disagreed we argued and
fought. I went to Sunset Elementary School where
I got good grades and made a lot of friends. My
teachers said I never stopped talking, but they
liked me anyway. I went to Mendenhall Middle
School, and Granada High School. At that point I
was no longer a kid, now I was an adult ready to
face the world.
5Mi Familia
I have an awesome family. I grew up with my
mom, dad, and younger brother, Zac. Zac is 4
years younger than I am and until recently I
thought he was a real pain. Now I like him (most
of the time). My extended family includes my
grandparents, Auntie Beth, Uncle Greg, and my
three cousins Todd Rebecca, and Andrew., My
grandma is 93 years old!!! Can you believe that?
She still walks around her neighborhood and tries
to be really independent. My grandpa died last
year, when he was 91. I miss him, but he lived a
good long life. Also, in my family is my cousin
Julie. She is actually my dad's cousin, but she
and her two sons Eric and Doug have been very
important to me. Though, I dont have any
children now, someday I hope to have a family of
my own.
6I Remember...
I have lots of special stories, but this one is
one I will never forget. It was Christmas and my
brother and I had been waiting in my room for
almost 2 hours. We always slept in the same room
on Christmas Eve and the family rule was that we
werent allowed out until 730. We were waiting
at the door as the clock ticked down Finally we
were free. We ran down the hall to find all the
presents Santa had left the night before. We sat
down with our stockings and started unwrapping
the little gifts inside. We finished this rather
quickly and wondered how much longer our parents
would be. We couldnt open the big presents
until they got up. Zac and I decided wed be
helpful and get the fires started. My dad had
got the 2 fireplaces all set up the previous
evening so all we had to do was light them. I
got the matches and lighted the living room
fireplace. It wasnt two minutes later when the
smoke started pouring out and filling the room.
Oh, No!!! I shouted, Zac go get dad!! While
I tried to fan the smoke my brother rant to get
my parents. Seconds later my dad came running
down the hallway, in nothing but his skivvies!
I would have fallen over laughing if it wasn't
for the angry look on his face. Fortunately he
knew what to do. He opened the flue, and the
smoke stopped coming inside. We spent the
remainder of Christmas morning in our sweets and
hats because all the windows and doors were open
to get the smoky air out of the house.
7To Infinity and Beyond
The future is one of those phrases that can be
really scary. My future is still somewhat
unknown. I am working on my masters Degree in
Education at Cal State East Bay. I hope to finish
soon and someday want to be an administrator. I
also really would love a family, so one of these
days Ill have to get married and get that
started. Other than that I am not sure. I like
where I work, I love where I live, I enjoy my
friends, basically- I am happy the way things are
right now.
