Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9A Divine Ideas
  • God creates through the action of Mind.
  • Material universe is based on divine ideas
    created in God Mind.
  • Laws of God Mind Mind, idea in mind, and
    expression.
  • Genesis 1 metaphysically shows Mind and idea in
    mind.
  • Genesis 2 represents manifestation of idea.
  • God ideates, humankind thinks.

4
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9B Creation of the Spiritual Universe
  • First creation story is entirely spiritual
    dont confuse with manifestation.
  • God creates the ideas that make the manifest
    universe possible.
  • Ideas used by Gods intelligent image and
    likeness to make the universe.
  • Gods creations are always spiritual

5
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9C Humankind
  • Image-and-likeness human is the spiritual
human the Christ, the Lord God, the Jehovah, the
    I AM.
  • The spiritual human is made up of absolute
ideas Divine Mind, thoughts (ideas in
expression), and the manifestation of thoughts.
  • In humankind there is the threefold nature
    spirit, soul, and body.
  • The spiritual human pours forth divine ideas
that each individual then arranges into thoughts
and forms as substance and life.

6
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9D Creation of the Material Universe
  • The Christ has dominion over all divine ideas
and uses wisdom and love to manifest the physical
    universe.
  • The spiritual human clothes divine ideas in
    time and circumstance.
  • Mankind has become entangled with materiality
and therefore some manifestation is not
    necessarily good.
  • Manifestation is related to the level of
consciousness of the individual as well as
    collective consciousness.

7
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9E Stages of Creation
  • Fillmore sees a distinct analogy in the first
chapter of Genesis between God and creation and
humankind and the process of manifestation.
  • This is the reason for metaphysically
interpreting the allegory in a step-by-step
    manner.
  • Fillmore viewed the creation allegory as the
earliest example of humankinds dawning awareness
    of these powers.
  • In the Bible, numbers have symbolic meanings.
Seven is the symbol of completion in the manifest
    realm.

8
  • Divine Love, through me,
  • blesses and multiplies
  • all that I am,
  • all that I give,
  • and all that I receive.
  • Thank you, Father-Mother God

9
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9F Chaos
  • God created out of darkness, out of the chaos.
  • Before light, there was darkness. Therefore, it
is important to acknowledge the chaos and the
darkness in our lives and begin to see how this
    can be used for good.

10
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9G First Step Light
  • Let there be light is an affirmation of
    illumination.
  • Light is a symbol with many meanings in the
Bible, one of the most important of which is
    intelligent awareness.
  • The most illuminating insight we can realize is
    that God is our source.

11
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9H Second Step Faith
  • Faith is our supreme affirmative faculty.
  • Note similarity between affirmation and a
    firmament.
  • Through faith, we affirm the reality of divine
    ideas as our divine inheritance.

12
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9I Third Step Imagination
  • Through our imagination, we form and shape our
desired good from the invisible substance.
  • Imagination does not cause manifestation it
produces the mental image of that which is to be
    manifest.
  • The imagination does determine the general form
    of the desired good.

13
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9J Fourth Step Understanding and Will
  • When we develop our spiritual understanding, we
become willing to do what is required of us to
    manifest our highest good.

14
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9K Fifth Step Judgment
  • Ability to discern, evaluate, and come to
    decisions.
  • Righteous judgment is based on spiritual
    understanding.
  • We use our judgment faculty to separate the
wheat from the chaff, the useful from the not
    useful error thoughts.

15
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9L Sixth Step Wisdom and Love
  • The masculine nature and feminine nature
resulting from the sixth step in the allegory are
symbolic of wholeness in each individuals
    spiritual nature.
  • The whole person is both masculine and
feminine that is thinking and feeling
expressive and receptive, wise and loving.
  • These need to be united within our own
consciousness to have our desires manifested.

16
Chapter NineThe Creative Process
  • 9M Seventh Step Sabbath
  • Rest of the mind, not necessarily the physical
    body.
  • Occurs when we become quiet and still within.
  • It is the realization and assurance that our
    manifestation is forthcoming. Sabbath
  • Sometimes lasts no longer than a moment.
  • Necessary for the good of the whole person, and
the outworking of the entire creative process.
  • To maintain the supply of creative energy, a
person needs to take time out from expenditure of
    that energy.

17
Chapter EightDiscussion
  • How do you observe the Sabbath?
