The rising sun watched from the top of Mt. Fuji
Notice
  • The main purpose of this tour is to watch the
rising sun from the top of Mt.FUJI, and every
participant is requested to climb up to the hut
on the 8th station. However, There is a
possibility that you cannot see the rising sun
due to the weather conditions and we shall never
make any refund and also never cancel the tour
    operation for this reason.
  • This tour is accompanied by one Japanese tour
coordinator and one licensed English speaking
guide all the way, and one professional mountain
guide accompanying from/to the 5th station.
  • Even in the rainy weather, climbing is operated
as scheduled. However, when weather condition is
so bad, climbing may be cancelled judged by tour
coordinator and mountain guide. The Scheduled
time and climbing route are subject to change due
to weather condition or other reasons.
  • For security reason, it is obligatory to submit
the list of mountaineers name, address and
emergency contact, and you will be requested to
    fill in the form onboard.
  • You cannot leave your belongings in the coach.
Please pack it up in advance, so that you can
    carry with you.
  • If you arrive at the 5th station later than 1130
on the 2nd day and miss the return coach, you
will be requested to go back to Shinjuku on your
    own account.
  • The hut to stay for a short sleep is located on
the altitude of 3,000m above sea level, and the
temperature is about 15 degrees lower than the
ground level. On the summit, much colder down to
5 centigrade, and you need sufficient protection
    against the cold.
  • Air is thin and there is a possibility of
suffering from mountain sickness. Please take
care of yourself, having a good sleep, much in
    advance.
  • The sleeping space at Toyokan hut is a
man-and-woman sharing room with bunk beds.
Usually as narrow space as less than 1tatami mat
( approximately 1.6 square meter) is assigned to
each participant, and it may not be comfortable
enough to take a good sleep.
  • You cannot take a bath or shower at Toyokan hut.
  • Toilet is located outside the hut.
  • Water is very precious in the mountain. Mineral
water and other beverage are available at any
hut, but remarkably expensive. You are
recommended to bring proper quantity from home
    and buy more as needed.
  • The climbing path from the 5th station is very
rough and there is no place to hide yourself away
from the direct ray or rainstorm. It is
recommendable to bring a hat with spittle for a
    shade.
  • Take a pair of light mountain-climbing boot (your
ankle must be covered) while you are climbing Mt.
    Fuji to avoid your injury.
  • No vegetarian menu is offered in the hat.
  • A child under 6 years old cannot join the tour.
  • Mountain insurance is NOT included in the tour
fare. We recommend that you purchase some kind of
    optional travel insurance at home.
