    December 1991, features three horizontal stripes
    of white, blue, and red. The tricolor dates back
    to the rule of Peter the Great. White stands for
    nobility, blue for honesty, and red for courage
    and love.

  • The flag of Kazakhstan, most recently adopted on
    4 June 1992, is light blue, symbolizing the
    country's skies and hopes for the future. In the
    center, an eagle flies beneath a golden sun.
