LDAPprep

• New insignificant character handling approach
  proposed in latest revision
• If Equal(X,X) True and X,Y differs by X only
  by addition/deletion of insignificant characters,
  then Equal(X,X) MUST be True. Likewise for
  other kinds of rules.
• LDAP failures
• For some X, Equal(X,X) Undefined, namely
  because one cannot determine abstract value
  represented by a particular physical
  representation. E.g., normalization failure,
  prohibited characters, etc.
• Models ensures that such values cannot appear
  in attributes.
