SBIR / STTR Program Mission
To support scientific excellence and
technological innovation through the investment
of federal funds in critical American priorities
to build a strong national economy one small
business at a time.

Initiated in 1982, the SBIR program is now in
its 22nd year.During that time, 14,000 U.S.
small businesses have received 75,000 Phase I and
Phase II awards totaling more than 15 BILLION,
an average of 200,000 per awardand more
than 40,000 patents have been issued to those
awardees.

    regional and national conferences and workshops,
    a listing of additional resources, and other
