2What Ive Accomplished
3Vending Machine in Great Hall
- Secured senate approval for vending machine in
great hall. - Worked with Jim Wulforst to determine logistics.
- Restores previous drink variety.
- Machine should be installed in the next few
weeks.
4Central Campus Field Space
- Met with Joe Alleva, Mike Forbes (Club Sports),
and Greg Dale (HPER) multiple times to determine
specifics. - Expressed need for student field space at Board
of Trustees central campus planning meetings. - Positive response from administrators, trustees.
5Late-Night Eating Options
- Trial period for late-night eating options by
extending hours of Saladelia, Bella Union. - Very low student demand during trial period.
- Will work with vendors, Jim Wulforst to relaunch
later this year.
6Basketball Validation System
- Have been working with Roberto Bazzani, Mitch
Moser, Athletics Department since beginning of
year. - Attendance numbers are solid, but unclear because
were doing well this year. - Still a number of problems that we need to
address for next season.
7Collaboration on Tailgate
- Worked with Jordan Giordano, Paul Slattery, DUU
and administrators. - Tailgate turned out very well this year.
8Shuttles to Polling Locations
- Coordinated buses to two Durham polling locations
on a whim. - Low student usage likely due to apathy towards
this years election.
9Central Campus Tennis Courts
- Have been working on this since June with Joe
Alleva. - Secured senate approval to resurface Central
Campus tennis courts. - Still work in progress working with Campus
Council and Eddie Hull.

12Lower Parking Fines
- Reducing fines for parking in a no parking area/
not designated for parking. - Current fine is 100.
- Parking with an improper permit-- for not moving
your car early enough. - Current fine is 40.
13Switching Grad Students/ VIP and Band in Cameron
- Assembled committee to discuss the issues.
- Working with Joe Alleva to determine logistics.
- If approved, earliest it can be done is this
summer.
145.25 Freshman Meal Equivalency
- Secured senate approval for meal equivalency.
- Currently working with Dr.Trask, Kemel Dawkins,
Jim Wulforst on logistics. - News will not go into effect this year.
15(DUU) Kiosks
- Working with DUU and John Peace, University
Architect, to determine feasibility. - Potential for DSG kiosks alongside DUU kiosks.
16Opening Quenchers Earlier
- Worked with Duke Card office to determine number
of people in Wilson Gym. - Presented argument to Jim Wulforst that Quenchers
should open at around 9 AM instead of 1 PM.
17Incentivizing Carpooling
- Working with Dr. Trask, Kemel Dawkins to
encourage seniors/ students living off campus to
carpool.
18Exploring Off-Campus Bus
- Have been working with Chuck Catotti since
beginning of year on this.
19Online Fix-It System
- Allows students to report maintenance problems on
campus via internet. - Solicited senate opinion.
- Working with Justin Wickett, DSG Tech Director,
to see if this is possible.

21Parking and Transportation
- DSG Liaison to Transportation Services
- ACS will appoint one representative to inform
transportation services of large on-campus events
requiring additional buses. - Investigated Issues with Biodiesel on Buses
- Recent complications with bus filters caused us
to stop using biodiesel and switch to low-sulfur.
- We will test a new batch from a different
provider in the coming months.

- First Fridays
- Provide varied cuisine in the Great Hall on the
first Friday of each month. - Grandmas Secret Recipe Contest

- Nutritional Information
- Explored possibility of providing specific
nutrition facts. - Unlikely to go into effect given problems with
students eating disorders.

- Opt- Out for Online Directory
- Currently all students are listed at duke.edu.
- This information available to

- No fruit offered at dinner addressed quality
issues. - Leftover Food in the Marketplace
- Explored possibility of donating leftovers to
homeless shelters.

for dinner.

- Makes the weight room more welcoming for women.

- Increasing card access for juniors, seniors on
East Campus. - Also earlier and later card access in East campus
dormitories. - Fosters a sense of community-- encourages
mentoring.
32Club Basketball Team
- Gauging interest for a new club sports basketball
team. - Informational meeting next week.

- Bus to non-revenue sports games in the spring
- Early airport shuttle after Winter Break.
