- Facilitate dialogue among diverse interest
groups, the community and MWAQC - Advise MWAQC in development of air quality and
climate change plans, policies

- MWAQC appoints individuals to represent elements
of the community, seeking a balance among them
and a geographic balance - Terms 3 years, staggered
- Term limit 2 three-year terms, but may be longer
at MWAQCs discretion

- Nominating Committee nominates individuals for
chair and vice chair - Slate is announced 10 days before election
- Election takes place in February
- Nominations can be made from the floor

16MWAQC Appointment Process
- MWAQC will appoint AQPAC members on January 28
- Staff will notify all applicants on Jan. 29
- The first AQPAC meeting is Feb. 23
- AQPAC meets on Mondays, 530 pm 730 pm
- AQPAC usually meets the week before MWAQC
