• The JWOD Program is now called AbilityOne
• The intent for the new name is to increase
  awareness better communicate the mission
  program identity.
• 2,848 AbilityOne contracts being performed for
  the Federal government
• Nonprofit agency (NPA) providers with access to a
  pool of approximately 21 Million potential
  employees
• Over 43,000 people employed.
• The AbilityOne Program is the largest single
  source of employment for people who are blind or
  have other severe disabilities in the United
  States

• NISH Mission

• We help disabled veterans and anyone who faces
  employment challenges due to their disability
• Funded by program fee based on sale of products
  and services.

NISH Responsibilities

• Liaison between AbilityOne, NPAs, Federal
  customers
• NISH supports the Committee for Purchase located
  in Arlington, VA, all government agencies
  nationwide and all the AbilityOne contractors
  providing services or manufacturing products
• Allocate contract opportunities
• Ensure quality service in development,
  negotiation, performance of AbilityOne projects
