• First meeting of working group held in

• Co-chairs were elected (Jean Baronas, Sony
  Electronics Inc., and Bill Kabele, Dell)
• Five subgroups were formed (Pack, Cell, System,
  Compliance, Editing)
• A high-level schedule was agreed to (calls for
  Sponsor ballot end of 2007)
• Next working group meeting is tentatively
  scheduled for 12-14 February 2007, Japan
• By the next meeting, a draft outline will be
  ready
• The group is running a 14-day email ballot of
  their policies and procedures

  a working group assessment to pay for IEEE funded
  services (tied to voting rights)

  document on November 17th
• Identified missing items and need for more
  explicit statement of shalls and shoulds
• Each primary author is preparing their proposed
  shalls and shoulds for each of their sections
  for review at December 7th eMeeting

• Merge of 1364 into 1800 a challenge given the
  number of issues already resolved
• Budget defined and dues assessed

• Will be invoiced for entity project participation
  fee as part of larger fee to cover funded

• The working group is finalizing their functional
  and technical requirements document by working
  through a round of commenting
• There is the possibility that the working group
  will increase their meeting frequency to every
  month
• This will be decided upon at the November meeting
• 40 entities have earned voting rights as of the
  November meeting
• There is the possibility of up to 44 voting
  members at the Jan 07 working group meeting
• The next (next) face-to-face working group
  meeting is scheduled for the last week in January
  2007
• The document will likely go to Sponsor ballot end
  of 2007
