  • Position

Position the Bike
  • Place the bicycle in the upright position.
  • The valve stem near the ground.
  • Comfortable setting
  • Easy to work around

Remove the Valve Stem Cover
  • Turn the valve stem cover counter-clockwise
  • Remove cover
  • Place the cover in a location where it will not
    get lost.

Connect and Secure Air Hose
  • Place the end of the air hose onto the valve stem
  • Gently press down until firmly attached
  • Clamp air hose down securely onto valve stem

Read the air Gauge
  • Determine the correct tire pressure
  • Read the air pressure in your tire
  • Determine if air should be entered or released

Pump Air Into The Tire
  • Pump armature fully extended
  • Press firmly toward body of pump
  • Reverse action pulling armature out
  • Repeat until tire is properly pressurized

Check the Air Pressure
  • While pumping the tire
  • Read air gauge
  • Stop pumping when proper pressure obtained

Check Pressure Hand Gauge
  • Another way to check pressure.
  • Hand gauge
  • Read analog scale

Check Pressure Hand Gauge
  • Place gauge over stem
  • Press down firmly
  • Remove from stem
  • Read pressure

Check Pressure Hand Gauge
  • Pressure too high
  • Use backside of gauge, press center stem in
    valve.
  • Release some air
  • Check pressure again

Remove Pump and Replace Cover
  • Quickly remove the pump from the valve stem
  • Replace the valve stem cover turning clockwise to
    tighten
  • Store the pump in its proper location
