  • International Phytosanitary Portal (IPP)
  • CD version for those without Internet access
  • Secure and remote access
  • NPPOs RPPOs maintain their own information
  • Eliminate or reduce duplication of data entry

IPP Status
  • Developed and being navigation is being piloted
    in English
  • documents served in all 5 FAO languages
  • Future navigation to be in French and Spanish

  • August 2002 release of live interactive database
    website ( www.ippc.int )
  • February 2003, users identified navigation issues
    so front facade was redesigned
  • Summer 2003, restructuring of file directories,
    filling gaps and updating and correcting content
    in existing documents
  • Draft data entry manual developed

Future of the IPP
  • IPP Support Group meeting in Prague, Czech
    Republic 25-29 November, 2003
  • Review data entry manual and pilot NPPO data
    entry
  • Develop plan for the IPP, identifying user needs

  • Provide IPPC Secretariat with Official NPPO
    contact information
  • Nominate an IPP support group member
  • Gather documents that help meet the IPPC
    obligations in preparation for posting on the IPP
