8SISO SAC Groups
- Product Development Groups (PDGs)
- SISO PDGs are created as the result of the
Product Nomination (PN) - PDGs perform steps 2 3 of the BPDP
- PDG Officers and the SAC perform step 4 of the
BPDP - PDGs exist until the product is complete
- Study Groups (SGs)
- SISO SGs are created as the result of a Terms of
Reference (TOR) - SGs are chartered to answer questions of interest
to the MS community - SGs have a limited life generally 1 to 2
workshop cycles - SGs can be a first step to a PDG

execute and maintain simulations - Potentially increases availability of simulation
through use of XML tools, ability to provide
plug-ins, libraries of scripts made available on

simulation through familiar web paradigm making
it easier to find and grow modelers, easier to
learn how to develop simulations, attractive view

A few military and commercial applications have
already implemented the new DIS transfer control
design and more are planning to do so. JNTC is
backing implementation of transfer control for
joint training exercises.

recommending and encouraging its use within the
MS community -- That product will reference
appropriate ISO/IEC specification standards - To encourage and guide the development of
utilities (software, mapping documents, use
guides, etc.) that will enhance usability of the
