  • Core Components approach is fast gaining momentum
  • UN/CEFACT is increasingly regarded as the place
    where semantic harmonization can take place at
    the highest level
  • Industry groups now coming forward and declaring
    support for UN/CEFACT and for migration/alignment
    of their standards with the CC approach
  • UN/CEFACT needs the resources and buy-in of these
    external organizations

  • Business Collaboration Specification Schema
    (BCSS)
  • Launched and made considerable progress in a
    joint project with ICG and ATG to define a UML
    profile for UMM and evaluate interoperability
    among various UML tools.
  • BCSS v1.0 draft specification released to ODP
    Step 4
  • Resources-Events-Agents (REA) Project is approved
    and already started

    Simple, Transparent and Effective Processes for
    Global Commerce
  • Feedback is that they are excellent
    specifications
  • But there is still a lot of work to do

  • More active participating is the key for solving
    this issues in that time as you want
  • We believe that an endorsed IPR Policy will start
    the ball rolling, especially for

  • more resources,
  • more active participation, and
  • support by major companies
