PRACTICAL ELEMENT
  • You are marked on 4 different activities.
  • Your 4 options can either be all Game
    Activities or be a mixture of 2 or more activity
    areas.
  • If you decide to choose 4 games, you will sit the
    Games theory paper. If you do a mixture you
    will sit the Physical Education theory paper.
  • YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DECIDE NOW. WHEN WE HAVE
    COVERED A NUMBER OF PRACTICAL AREAS WE WILL MAKE
    A DECISION BASED ON THE OPTION THAT WILL GET YOU
    MOST MARKS.

PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT
  • Each activity is marked out of 25 against a set
    of written criteria.
  • In 1 activity you will also be assessed in your
    ability to observe and analyse performance.
  • Not all activities will be covered in GCSE
    lessons. If this is the case for one or more of
    your activities either your coach (outside of
    school) or your Games teacher (in school) will
    assess your work.
  • If you are assessed outside of school you need to
    provide video evidence.
  • If you are considering skiing, chances are that
    you will have to use your skiing holiday to get
    the video.
  • No video no mark. It is your responsibility.
