Construction Progress
- Construction began in July 2004. As of mid-March
2009, the Project is over 95 complete. - The Contractor has worked over 3.8 million hours
without a lost-time accident. - Construction of the two underground stations at
1st/Boyle and 1st/Soto is 94 complete. - Construction of the six at-grade stations is 90
complete. - Systems installation is 97 complete.

9Canoga Transportation Corridor
- METRO ORANGE LINE EXTENSION
- On January 22, 2009, the Metro Board certified
the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for
the Canoga Transportation Corridor. - The Metro Orange Line Extension Project is four
mile extension of the Metro Orange Line extending
from the Canoga park and ride lot to the
Chatsworth Metrolink Station. - The Project includes busway, new station
platforms at the Canoga park and ride lot, new
stations at Sherman Way (with park and ride),
Roscoe Boulevard, Nordhoff Street, and the
Chatsworth Metrolink Station (with park and
ride). The Project includes street improvements,
bicycle/pedestrian path and landscaping. - Expect to award design/build contract in October
2009 - Construction to be completed by mid-2012
