Welcome and introduction Please say the words in
bold print Creator of the world, eternal God, we
have come from many places, and are made
welcome, Redeemer of humanity, God-with-us, we
have come as we are, with all our
differences, seeking common ground.
3
Spirit of unity, go-between God, we have come on
journeys of our own, to a place where journeys
meet. So here in this place, let us take time
together. For when paths cross and people
gather, there is much to share and celebrate. In
your name, three-in-one God, pattern of
community. Amen

Saying Sorry God our Father, we come to you in
sorrow for our sins. For turning away from
you, and ignoring your will for our
lives Father, forgive us Save us and help us
6
For behaving just as we wish, without thinking of
you Father, forgive us Save us and help us For
failing you by what we do, and think and
say Father, forgive us Save us and help us
7
For letting ourselves be drawn away from you by
temptations in the world about us Father,
forgive us Save us and help us For living as if
we were ashamed to belong to your Son Father,
forgive us Save us and help us
8
We are forgiven My God, our heavenly Father, who
has promised to forgive all those who sincerely
turn to him have mercy on us. May he deliver us
from all our sins, and strengthen us for his
service, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Reading Luke 191-10 (NIV) Zacchaeus the Tax
Collector Jesus entered Jericho and was passing
through. A man was there by the name of
Zacchaeus he was a chief tax collector and was
wealthy.
11
He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short
man he could not, because of the crowd. So he ran
ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him,
since Jesus was coming that way.
12
When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and
said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I
must stay at your house today." So he came down
at once and welcomed him gladly. All the people
saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be
the guest of a 'sinner.'
13
But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord,
"Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my
possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated
anybody out of anything, I will pay back four
times the amount."
14
Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to
this house, because this man, too, is a son of
Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to
save what was lost."

Talk
16
Affirmation of faith Let us declare our faith in
God. We believe in God the Father, from whom
every family in heaven and on earth is named. We
believe in God the Son, who lives in our hearts
through faith, and fills us with his love.
17
We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who
strengthens us with power from on high. We
believe in one God Father, Son and Holy
Spirit. Amen.
18
Prayers Gathering our prayers and praises into
one, as our Saviour has taught us, so we
pray Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your
name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on
earth as in heaven.
19
Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our
sins as we forgive those who sin against
us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us
from evil.
20
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are
yours now and forever. Amen.
